time for one of those again.
my last attempt to make a somewhat darker, more serious rotmg sadly fell short on people realising what I wanted to do, with people going for sandwiches over funerals, and PNs attempt fell short due to...complete and utter lack of PN.
so this time, I will put the rotmg in a more serious, realistic spin, focusing on the debate currently everywhere in subcultures - super humans vs normal humans. DC, Avengers, X-men, Deus Ex, they are all on that, and I kind What rights do they have for the vigilantism? How can we defend against these guys, if dangerous? Can anyone who was born with the ability to read minds ever be trusted? Should someone who can throw fireballs even be able to do so? Etc. Strict, in some countries downright opressive government controle and a controverse public view, paragons and extremists on both sides, violent protests etc. A whole load of chaos as the law tries to somehow get up to date etc etc.
Players would be part of, or at least have ties to a -at least on the first view- pro-magic, or rather con-opression activist group. Afterall, that was what Maria Ryan, in her first call to the public called for. A safe place for mages, outsiders, that would be unwelcome elsewhere, and be among themselves. Rather than large scale savings of the world on a regular basis, the divide in mankind would play a central role, and dealing with the consequences both small and large scale.
Anyone down for that?
