If it's a DnD game, I would probably prefer lower-level (~3) and 5e.

Well, think 90% less Western, and 200% more Gothic Feudalism. After all, you're running a ten-thousand-year-old space cathedral with a crew in the tens of thousands, where you can literally have uncontacted tribes of people living in the hold.

Having a ten-thousand-year-old space cathedral would be a bit of a stretch, considering that would be Dark Age of Technology level (which can be done with ship traits), but the ships can easily be a few millennia old.

Same here, the only thing preventing me from expressing actual interest is the usuals of time and lack of knowledge regarding how the game actually WORKS.

Neh, Dark Age was M15-M25, a 10k old battleship would be from the very late Age of Strife M25-M30.
