I'll probably join the discord on Monday if I remember. I'm away from my computer at the moment.

Just a bump to help you remember :P.

Warhammer 40k keeps getting a high number of votes but lacks in GMs (no, I can't do it).

If I had time, I'd run a game, but I don't, so I can't.

Yesterday I came up with an idea for a Rogue Trader game that takes some material from DH and OW and which I believe would be quite interesting. I'm not able to run any games in my current situation, so I decided to post here in case it piques a GM's interest.

Suicide Squad in space?

I haven't watched the movie but that does sound like an apt description.

To put it broadly: Extremely dangerous undesirables taken out of prison on the understanding they will do some nigh suicidal task, and if they succeed they get reduced sentences (presumably until they're out).

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

I have some knowledge of what it's all about after reading about the comics some time in the past, which's why I think it fits, at least partially.

I might be interested in playing that if someone runs it but:
A: I have no experience with WH40k other than memes
B: I don't have the rulebook

I have plenty of time on my hands and fancy trying to run a pbp.
i have a few ideas:
A) A Twilights 2k game with a bit of stalker mixed in mostly the exo suits but probably some custom diy weapons and armoured fighting vehicles as well.

B) A modern day crime thriller.
You wake up in a strange room with a surgical scar on your collar bone and voice tell you that you have been implanted with remote controlled bomb and must acquire a vast sum of cash in the next 7 days or it will detonate.

Would be into the second one.  Probably the first one as well once I've read up on Twilight 2000. Which edition are you thinking of using?

Also into the Rogue Trader idea, not that I'm familiar enough with the setting to really appreciate the novelty.

Unfortunately its generally much harder to find GMs then it is to find players. The RT game would be fairly difficult to run, given that it requires at least some familiarity with three gamebooks and the setting, in addition to changes to those rules to make the idea work.

I might do it myself, but I don't feel like it :P.
