We shall erect our tower on the coast, and a great light shines from the top! (definitely not a lighthouse, just a wizard tower on the coast with a light)

We shall create a race of naga that live on the coast!

Naga:
Seemingly human in thier basic features with sun burnt skin (think, islander) and light colored eyes, thier lower half is that of a great serpent. The tallest of them stand at about 5 & 1/2 feet, though fully extended they are much longer. (because of thier tails) They are an innately aquatic species and spend much time in the water, though they make thier camps on land.  They live in tribal groups along the coast near coral reefs, and subsist through fish and strawberries forged from the plains. Though intelligent, and with advanced culture including currency and writing systems they remain primitive in that thier constant contact with the sea has delayed the development of fire. Though thier hair can be of normal varieties, some also have coral colored or blue/green hair. These individuals are considered "touched by the sea".
The weapon of choice in thier society is the spear.

Let's add some color to this world. Create some flying animals. They shall all differ in shape, size and color. To the Naga, they will be the Great Tormentors, flying overhead and bombing them with excrement.
