I figured I'd share this cause I found it hilarious that my Spearmaster, of all things, bit a werebeast and killed it. I have 5 pages of logs of my squad attacking this werebison, and the Spearmaster repeatedly bites it. I can't stop laughing imagining this raging beast who's known for its bite, being bitten to death by a guy in armor with a spear. Like, he could kill you with his spear; hell, he could probably break your kneck if he wished, but no, he's gonna bite you to death.

"Urist, what are ye doin?"
"Imma show em how to really bite somethin!"
"Oh, by Armok's sake, not again Urist."

The shear look of bewilderment by the werebison as something actually decided to bite it had to be hilarious.

Incidentally, I know if a dwarf gets bitten the disease is transmitted... but what is the dwarf bites the werebeast? Does he get infected?

No, don't think so. Dwarves aren't like elves, eating their kills. Though bisons ARE killed for their meat.

Also, no, having a dwarf bite a werecreature doesn't transmit the disease to the dwarf.
