Do the tops of the raised bridges act as floors? Can dwarves walk on top of the raised bridge?

No and no.

However, much like with other impassable buildings like closed doors, thing will not fall through the top of a raised bridge.

This has it's uses and disuses, obviously.

And a bridge in a wall, with a floor above the "inside" but not above the bridge will allow critters to enter the "room" from above the bridge, so you need to ensure there's either a floor or a wall above a bridge to keep things out.

If you think that's strange your mind will be blown by the magic hole creating built staircases, diagonal upwards invisible staircase paths, and compressible drawbridges (regardless of length, a drawbridge compresses to a single z level in height when raised).

Yeah, I discovered this (the hard way) immediately after climbing was implemeted. (How are they getting in?? All my walls are three units high with an overhang!)

Is this biome reanimating? I really don't want to know what happens when "absurd numbers of megabeasts" is combined with "reanimating biomes".

My favourite is still the fortifications that let balista bolts through but not creatures (unless it is completely submerged)

Also, it's possible to dodge through fortifications (and even solid walls). A number of folks have had sparring militia fall to their deaths because of this.

Uses/abuses?

Why must it rhyme?

Yeah that's better.

If you have to ask that question, I'm not sure you can understand this, but rhymed things are neater.

And also therefore true, mind you.
