YOU GOTTA THINK RESOURCES, BRO. how much is it gonna cost to outfit every infantry-woman with amethyst-studded nipple-plates? and what if they fall in battle and the enemy loots their armour? thats a good ☼30000 dwarfbucks down the drain! I mean a champion with bejewelled armour might make sense, but then you still have to design more practical armour for the rest of your soldiers! Armour that intricate takes a lot of time to make. And when a vile force of darkness comes knocking on your doors, you don't wanna waste any of that time.

Also, the design is not improving if you mean learning, I just did it as an answer, and I drew a few pieces like that long time before.

Although, Russia is technically in a freezing climate.. but even then, Ice is considered a stone, which can't be used for amour.

Hehe, there's just a northern part which is freezing. Think of steppe/desert oil and mountain minerals, I was born in a police town which is close to a mining settlement.

But it was supposed to be a joke . You can't quote a sentence ignoring other facts btw . I've bolded mineral resources. We have lots of demons under the Ural mountain range.

Yeah, I've been bogged down with other stuff and haven't had a lot of art time.
The holidays put a delay on the webcomic updating, I still haven't got out last wekend's page (which I hope to get inked and scanned by the time this weekend rolls around...)
that and overall it takes me longer to get pages coloured than it does to draw and scan them...

I really need to manage my schedule better.

Eh, it's practical enough. And there's no reason you can't draw masterpiece armor if you want to. As for the boob-jewels, I think an eccentric wearer would suffice.
