On the map, rather than label them as outlanders, you should've labeled them as utlänning.

The kobold's look nice to me. I don't get what you mean by "Too humanoid" since they have bony elongated faces, claws, and fewer toes.

Probably too 'furry' like and no savagery, I picture them as somewhat savage (not so much beast savage as primitive savage)

Yea, since elves are considered to be hippies, which fits the Sylvan. The Tuatha looks either like a chipped bronze arrowhead or a leaf which has had a bite taken out of it.The Svart symbol looks runic or something, probably fitting as they are suppoused to be the 'wild' elves which live in the depths of the forest, or something.

The Tuatha seem the shortest, but since they are a mix of human and elven stock (supposedly), they are just a bit stockier.

Nice split between the 'civilized' elves and the 'wild' elves.

I don't see them as primitive, or furless, they are just as primitive as the humans who don't dwell in the caves.
And the Tuath are cool, the Elf exetremists... Trowe will be fun, the Sylvan are fine, they are too pansy to hurt me, and the Svart, I'll welcome you like the kobolds, but you'll be chained, and they won't.

Here's a picture of a goblin.
Probably not how Toady envisioned them, and not in agreement with lore on goblins in general, it is just how I imagine DF goblins must look.
One of the reasons why I like the ascii graphics of DF is that it basically leaves everything up to the imagination of the player, the screen just shows letters, but it easily translates to dark dungeons, massive battles, and miasma.
Anyhow here's the Goblin: They are not the types of creatures that you want to steal and adopt your children.

Hey Armok, remember the flying machine... I was going to do that one part of the race with the magma gas explosion, but I wasn't up to make blue fire... and it is lacking the steam for the same reason...

Anyway, that look would fit the goblin thieves pretty well, but it's hard to imagine it laying siege to anything. Nice pic.

Well, when there is profit to be made, they will. Also goblins are, on average, not that proficient in combat. Marksgoblins are a notable exception of course.
