I envision DF Elves as being kind of like the Wolfriders from ElfQuest. Very much a feral group, although the ElfQuest elves are much less uppity about killing things.

This is one of those things that would turn DF elves from being wussy Hippies to being BADASS AWESOME in an instant. One can only assume that indeed there must be ElfQuest Style elves in DF for it can be the ONLY explanation someone like "Cacme"

That said someone needs to draw a comparison of DF Elves in "wussy Hippies" style and then in "Elfquest" style

Fault; I'm shocked; sexual connotations were the furthest thing from my mind when painting that.  You, sir, are possessed of a deviant eye.

Petra: Those are awesome; now I want subterranean winter wonderlands in my fortress.  Dwarf Christmas involves getting eaten by cave-yetis in them.

In other news, I got a scanner!!  Fuuuuck, I'm jazzed.  I've neglected my pencils for almost a year now, trying to learn to paint digitally, and I'm rusty.  But now I can do sketches on paper and scan them in!  This pleases me greatly.

Rusty, like I said, and I'm not great at adjusting the value levels on the scanner histogram, yet, so it's a little washed out.  Still, yay.

I find it amazing how you can make a pencil sketch look realistic.
Goddamn, I wish I could draw like you, like any of you.

The Xbow dwarves shoot slower than that, clothing is only one kind of brackets, natural walls don't look like that when bloodied.

Can you explain to me what is with the green highlighted elf, and the tiles directly next to him, and what the hell is with the lava!?
And downward ramps don't point that way.

Hawkfrost; thanks.  All drawing takes is practice and observation, which is to say you totally could. 

Idiom; well, I've trying to learn art for about 4 years, no art-school or anything.  Not much to tell.

I think the eyes are a little too close together, and the brow should be bigger.
