Don't listen to them. MSpaint is completely where it's at.

Here's a picture of a Dwarf wearing the expression I like to think of as "quite content".

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ignore his arms and body.

He looks like a philosopher philosophizing. Probably because I equate looking upwards with thinking.
I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of remaking that:

Don't mind the oddball shading and weird angles (it's based on the original picture). We're inside a cave after all. With smoothed walls.

Sorry if he appears rather feminine.

(All texturing done by me; 100% Photoshop. Not my usual quality work.)

Actually I found Chapins stuff worthy of a small smile at the very least?

I was reading some other pages in this thread and noticed some inverted drawings. I was inspired earlier to draw a human that killed me in adventure mode with very adorned armor, note that he had a sword, not two daggers, but it seemed more fitting to the desert town he lived in.

Notice that his armor is menacing with spikes, wrapped in bands of leather, has studs of metal, adorned with bones, you name it.

Chapin. Your pictures are not funny. At all.
They also aren't much to look at. I have a feeling you're going for a rough/extraordinarily ugly style on purpose, but you might want to practice (privately <_<) a bit before making actual comics
GUYSGUYSGUYS, people put their art here at the risk of looking like an idiot, whilst there is art that renders most other works insignificant, everybody has a right to show what they can do.
Also: beauty funny is in the eye of the beholder, one man's BEST COMEDIAN EVAR is another man's annoying douchebag -and vice-versa.

It should be pretty fun though.

And I accept critisism when my artwork is shit. No ego's bruised, all is peachy.

Ah but making a statement implying that nobody finds his work funny is different to stating that you personally didn't enjoy it.

It seems my negatives are catching on. You're a lot better at drawing moving figures than me, by the way. I might draw something new soon, depends on how I feel.

Dwarf-Com / X-Fortress

o_O . This is simply amazing. I love how you've caught the style.

Also you forgot to place mud, water and vomit on all the free inventory spots ;D.

Hehe, that's awesome! It's amazing how fitting the X-com interface actually looks with the Dwarf.

Dwarf-Com / X-Fortress

LOL !!

Wow, amazing two of the greatest games ever combined!

Combination with other legendary games is difficult to imagine though... Fallout might work. SC2 wouldnt. MOO ...maybe as a Klackon/Silicoids race, but thats only cosmetics.
Fantasy games are too close in theme. A DF-CIV mod could work.
