Spreggo gleefully proves me correct in my "One-upsmanship" theory.

Shh, don't ruin the momentum!  ;D

I want to see some more renditions of The Request.

I'm working on one of my own, actually. Fault's version inspired me.
We'll see how it turns out. WIP sometime today, maybe...

But of course he's communist, comrade (unless the fortress economy has been turned on).  He, and the others with him, work according to their ability to make whatever is needed.  The means of production, held in common by the workers, are distributed to those who need them.  Those who come in claiming to be better by birth, and making production orders, are executed for their impudence and crimes against the people.  Orders are sent from a central committee, and no production can occur without them.  And any implications that this only works correctly because Dwarf Fortress has plants growing too quickly and feeding too well / making too many clothes, and thus doesn't represent shortages correctly, is imperialist capitalist propaganda!

Seriously, though, he does look rather a lot like Che Guevara...

I'm talking about the bronze colossus. It's supposed to be made entirely of bronze.
But really he's just a softie inside. They all are really. When megabeasts come to your fort you never welcome them inside and give them a hug, do you. You heartless bastards...

I wrote it, the description itself is not that spectacular really.

Its the other way around: communists are secretly dwarves who have infiltrated human society.
Ducim is definately cool, but am I the only one who sees an evil-duck/alien-leech-parasite type thing on his head instead of a beret/flop hat?

My room mate said that too. I tried to imagine what a floppy pigtail cap looked like, but I think I'll have to use some actual references next time.
Making it blood red only compounds the "GREAT LEAPING CRAP! IT WANTS OUR BLOOD," problem.

I don't think I planned this one out well enough... still it was fun to do.

While Udib Vabokgatin is as excited as the next dwarf about the discovery of Adamantine in the depths, he can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen.

Great, except the legs look a bit off. Something wonky with the perspective, I think.

Yeah - I used a reference for the proportions but had to massively edit it to make it dwarfish. I thought It would come out better using references that way, but all the weighting looks ridiculous now. There's a lot of wonkiness in general. Next time I'll do a bunch of thumbnails and prepare properly.

BTW good choice not adding a mouth to the demon. Leaves a lot of suspense in the "guess which way is the dwarf going to be mauled/disemboweled/consumed" department.

I wonder if most people picture dwarves as naturally flat footed?

That demon is also anatomically correct, with clawed limbs attached to the upper body.  Kudos.

SPREGGO:

nice marksdwarf, although the nose is a bit big, and over all its a bit simplistic.

SOADREQM:
nice use of perspective to draw the eye to the different elements of the image.  I guess that's how demons stay hidden until they encounter a dwarf?
