Drew another dwarf. This one's name is 'Brick' Flamebeards. I usually pick an "avatar" dwarf once I get a good number, one that has a personality that I like. He keeps his eyes on the other dwarfs.

This pic marks a few firsts for me, such as "First time spending more than an hour on a single drawing" and "First time drawing a kilt EVER."

Hope you like it.

Ah what the hell, he must be a Scottish dwarf!!   :D

You could say that! I just wanted to draw a kilt, so I was like, "Hey, might as well add it to my dorf.

I like Toady's unique cannibal environmentalist-extremist elves.  This is sort of how I imagine them looking.  Roughly.

This needs a few more hours into it to really be called "finished," but I'm lazy and bored with it.

Corel painter, I presume? Nice brush effects :)

Anyway, I'm planning on drawing a few things about DF (and dwarves), but sadly, not this month.

Till then, I can link this from my DA page: Dwarven Fighter-cleric

This is the leader of my military who defended my fort against a constant stream of undead elk for roughly 10 years.

That's a very cool image. The guy looks like a part of the mountain, y'know.

Yes, he has a very 'you shall not pass' look about him.

Hm....the image is decent, but somehow this creature looks like a goblin-elf crossbreed or something.

Would anyone have any recommendations  on what type of pen to use to ink over the lines in my previous picture?  I think I could get a better quality image if the lines were darker.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

I prefer to use a simple ballpoint pen, and fiddle with contrast and balance in photoshop/painter/whatever. Never tried GIMP, but I hear it's a free alternative.

I've now "inked" my previous drawing in Photoshop.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It still needs a bit more polish, but I doubt I'll get to it.

It's very nice and clean. The green is a bit toxic and kinda hurts the eyes though but I like it!

Thanks for the feedback. I might ease up on the color there. Although, painful to look at is characteristically goblin ;D.
