Just a portrait sketch thing.  Trying not to suck at rendering.   No ref.



I think he's a noble.  Such a luxurious and well-groomed beard could only be cultivated by the patrician class.

My first thought was, that he's what i'd picture a trader or book keeper to look like, personally.
