Clad in laminated wooden and cloth armour with an enchanted wooden naginata, perfect for living in harmony with nature while gutting enemies. Rumours of scantily clad amazons are unfounded.

Pit Worm
An underground detrivore that tunnels through rock and soil using powerful teeth and muscles, but occasionally encounters unlucky miners. Flesh is much softer than stone.

I like the character design. Between the rope reed smoking hippies and the scantily clad amazons, mysterious ninja warriors are a nice change. Would some critique be okay?

I think the shading is a bit over the top. Like, you're shading each armor segment individually, with sharp black shadows all over, but there's no clear sense of a light source. To illustrate what I mean, I quickly and violently attacked your work with the dodge/burn tool. The highlights sail off in an arc.

I'm sure it'd look better if I'd tried harder to stay inside the lines, or if I actually knew what I was doing, but I hope it's visible what I was trying to achieve. Focus more on which parts of the image are lit, and less on the bloom.
