kilakan - Thanks man

Comrade - I'm just painting these in Photoshop with the brush tool.  Blending colors and controlling edges are tricky, especially in PS; I think it's mostly a matter of practice.  If you're using Photoshop and a tablet, setting the opacity jitter to pen pressure can be helpful, as can playing with the the flow settings.  And of course some brushes lend themselves better to blending than others.  I like the standard chalk brushes the best.  And two other general tips for blending and edges:  work zoomed-out as much as you can, don't get caught up in details.  Big shapes first.  And use the biggest brush possible for any given job.  These are pretty basic guidelines to all painting, but they'll fix a huge number of issues in and of themselves.

You ought to sell your artwork at some point, that's thoroughly awesome, if creepy as all hell.

I should at least contribute the ms-paint humor I've produced;

Shouldn't that be "Snatcher! Protect the children!"?

Other that that, it is hilarious.

Eric Blank - Many thanks

Spreggo -Hey!  Yeah, I often consider popping in there to post stuff, but the thread's so long now I'd feel slightly lost.  If you're still posting there, the thread isn't missing out on expertise.

Soadreqm - Thanks a ton

chewie - Thank you!

Here is a glacier I meant to post a long time ago and forgot about

I think there's a, for lack of a better word, splicing problem in the space between the big rock on the left and a smaller rock in the distance to the right of it. A direct vertical line where the landscape doesn't line up.

Either way, it's still a brilliant piece. :)

Looks like a simple photoshop error. some blending should fix it.

Wow, Balathustrius, you are an awesome artist. Is there perchance another site where one could ogle admire your artwork? :)

Sean Mirrsen - ack, you're right.  I re-sized that iceberg and forgot to blend that edge back in.  Oops.

Still Standing - Thanks

FrisianDude - Thank you -  I have a DA page, but there's nothing on it right now.  I'm going to put some stuff on there eventually, and I'll have a link in my sig here when I do.

These are from a while ago; I was going to paint a goblin war-troll in like armor or something and with goblins riding on it.  But I got sidetracked and only finished some concepts for its head.

I can't be the only one that immediately thought of this upon seeing that a megabeast called the Roc was being added to the game.

Balathustrius, I think the bottom left would be best for a 'dumb troll'
