I think the bad handwriting adds to the effect

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)

A small comic I made.

Youre referring to the clowns, right?

What clowns?
I only see those monsters over there eating clowns.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Yep. At some point in some thread, someone mentioned that the area with clowns could be referred to as the circus.

Others feel it to be a terrible euphamism and not really good for hiding spoilers. Anyone using it should be defenestrated immediately.

Defenestrated? Is that what happens to nobles when they feel like having a green glass table in their room?

But hey, it was just a silly way of portraying a situation.

That depends on how many green glass windows they have in their room. :P

I think it's a vastly amusing thought that elephants are so afraid of heights that when Dwarves invented the Z-axis, they couldn't bear to face dwarves in combat anymore.

^This, I find the whole clown, clowncar, circus, etc, euphemisms to be quite cringe worthy.

I liked it better when it was just referred to as Hidden Fun Stuff.

In fact, it'd be really great if there were a [Fun] tag that acted the same as [spoiler]

I am pretty sure most people I know what Hidden fun stuff is by now.

there will always be a new infulx of players, who it would be nice not to spoil things for.  This was a slightly different dynamic when it was difficult to find HFS, but still, it is courtesy to use spoilers. Replacing the noun with clowns does nothing for doing that, as many aspects of what it is is revealed with this method.  By just using HFS and spoilers there aren't any aspects of what it is being revealed, other than that there may be something you haven't discovered.
