When you put it like that (with "hidden" geometry), it all makes sense. I may be jumping over my head in my expertise, but there might instead be a problem with composition. Through the balance of light and dark you shifted the central point to the left, and that's where the eye looks for the vanishing point. Well, in all honesty, it should be there. To make it work with current composition, you'd have, first, to shift shadows somewhat, to indicate that there's a hill to justify the light gaps in the fence together with the horizon line the way it is. Then, you need to put something on the veranda to balance the weight of the two sides of the picture.

I was typing my message but I had to remake it because forums notified me of your reply.

Yeah, the perspective is bad, but mostly because I used 1 point where I should have used two, and that's causing distortion.  The horizon is actually pretty consistent; I just painted the light through the fence (way) too low.  Oops



I mostly just did it to practice trees.  Probably shouldn't have shown it off.   

You could just say that it's on top of a hill or there's a ravine or break there. Not every house stands on a flat ground.
