I assumed this dwarf was falling, after being on the bridge at the wrong time.  So maybe the background could be blurred.

Because in dwarf fortress an ordinary griffin would not be kickass enough a mount.

Could probably use some more clever text on the back-of-box descriptions, Got too engrossed in putting the perfect shadow filters  and font colors on the text instead!

Essentially we had to reason out every decision made in the advertisement.  Like, positioning, color, content, format, audience, message, etc.

What are the chances it will get your professor to play Dwarf Fortress

No idea- The day I turned it in was the last day I saw him.  He's a major Warhammer 40k / PC gamer guy though and mentioned he had 'heard about that game' so its always possible. (I mean, c'mon. Who can resist a game with that boxart?)
