Actually, honeybee workers sometimes lay eggs too...There's just a complicated worker-policing thing where they all destroy eachother's eggs and only preserve the queen's. Also, they're unfertilized eggs, so they can only become males.

And ovipositors aren't vaginas. How could this function as a vagina? They're used for stabbing things and laying eggs in them. Like other bugs, in the case of parasitic wasps.
