I found something disturbing in a cavern lately: "many fluffy wamblers". It was flickering from place to place.

How many dwarves have been killed due to the previously unknown swarming behavior of fluffy wamblers? We must spread this information before more lives are lost!

Regarding the Tengen Toppa gurren Lagann that was earlier:
Instead of driving a pick through the heavens, how about taking a pick and dig straight through the earth until you hit the other side?

If you survive the immense pressures and heat of the core, then yes that would work.

They are probably going to wear tri-dilithium adamantine alloy suits anyway.

What? Blasphemy! The world is flat! There's nothing down there, and there're edges of the world!

I think in the worldgen parameters you should be able to set whether the world is a flat plane, a globe (wraps east/west) or a torus (wraps east/west and north/south)

who knows, it could effect oceans and rivers, or trade routes or something.

Right  now it is impossible. It would be fun to circumnavigate the globe without the fast travel though :P.

Startling discovery! according to the raw files in the new version, Fluffy Wamblers are HUMANOID!! When I heard of this I immediately altered their file so wamblers had round, one-part bodies (I kept all their other features, and coloured according to their raw traits)

I'm not exactly sure if they have ears though.

Spoiler:  THE LIST (click to show/hide)

Actually, ever since Toady spoiled the Fluffy Wambler raws way back before the release of the current version, we've theoretically known they were humanoid.

I wasn't really satisfied with the Iron man I did before.. too mechanical.

Here's one that's more of a golem, with a graceful, organic frame.

Which is kind of an oxymoron. An organically graceful golem, when golems aren't organic by definition?

Nobody's gonna get this pun.

Heres a fun fact that I found out when making iron men fight in the arena: they drop statues of miscellaneous stuff (one per ironman I think). Makes you wonder what exactly they really look like even though the raws give them a humanoid form.

Maybe they have some sort of amorphous core which takes some random form when they die.

it's really epic when you kill an iron man(or bronze colossus, if you manage that) in adventure mode and it turns into a statue of you.

Maybe they have some sort of amorphous core
So they're like transformers now?

Are you insinuating that that stuff is enertron? Or whatever else the stuff was in Transformer's canon?
