So i picked up drawing as a "new year resolution".
I'm still crap but hey you gotta start small right?
RIGHT?!
Well i made 2 DF related doodles.

I like them :)  I had to do a double take on the second one when I realized the tree in the background was a giant slingshot, which explained why the dwarf was flying :)

I think it's safe to say that you need to work on it a bit, but if that's just raw talent, and you've only just started trying to actively learn to draw better, and you stick to it, you are going to be putting out some really good stuff in the near future.

To be honest i put most of the effort effort into the first one... i just got impatient with the second one i think... i guess i will have to make a better version of it in the future since almost everything there (aside of the dwarven Icarus and even he could use extra work) was a placeholder (hills, tree/sling, dorfs in the background) or a quick doodle just to have it done (goblin/elf).

I'll keep up trying to draw daily tho.

Aaand another quick one.

And a slightely less quick one...

As for the sketch... racoons steal the strangest of things don't they? A kobold nabbing a steel axe is understandable because they just roll like this but raccoons going off with anvils and battle axes? Shouldn't they just steal food and the like?

Well, in real life, raccoons have been noted to mess around with and steal some pretty odd things.  Same with a lot of the smarter birds.  Crows are notorious for stealing shiny things, for example, and the speaking birds will definitely steal stuff they can't possibly use.

Putting a mass limit of the stolen thing based on the mass of the stealer might be a good idea though.

What? You mean that monkeys can't run away with a 50 kilo solid gold statue in real life?

Based on the strength of the stealer would make more sense. Gotta account for monkeys getting swole.

The lines on the right edge make me think he's moving and making that weird sound effect from "the Six Million Dollar Man" and "the Bionic Woman". x3

. . .That looks like writing in Cirth runes.o_O
!!!
They ARE Cirth runes!
Interesting. :)) Also I like how you did the building perspective. I always fail at perspective >.<

Edit: I've translated them (hooray fictional language expertise~) and..they don't make out a straight word or saying. Am I missing something?
Anyway: Love how you did the shading to create the realistic feel. And those Martial Trance panels.

No wonder it didn't read right to me. Argh.

Thanks for that--and still, the most recent art here is beautiful as always.

I painted some dwarves and a weird, grumpy-ass elf.
One of the dwarves, idk, he's too tall. I'll have to make him shorter in the future to really, really make him a dwarf.

That's some darn good stuff Tofu.

I'm getting a very British Early Colonial Era Dwarf feel from the first.  No doubt the griffin/dragon thing helps.

With ears like that, I bet that elf can hear everything the dwarves say about him, which certainly explains the apparent grumpiness.

The second dwarf?  Looks like he's saying "get the hell out of my bedroom" to someone he doesn't consider to be a threat.  I'm not going to comment on his shorts being armored.

Sorry about the quality and size, I don't have access to a working computer atm and had to use my phone.

Nice work, Tofu
