Oh my socks, I didn't get it until you pointed out there was a joke. And now I can't choose whether to laugh or cry.

Oh, and your dwarf looks OK. It looks a little like every bit was drawn (or at least colored) separately, and pasted together, but otherwise it's very nice. The gold idol glitters like a very glittery gold idol.

yeah, that was my first try so I was really afraid to mess it so I've made as much photoshop layers as I could xD
Also the idol must be encouraged by one from Spelunky, if not I don't know why did I draw it xD.

I loved those pictures.

Also, deon. Your picture was pretty awsome imo. nice lighting effects and preshading. I almost thought it was a 3d model rendered for a minute. buuuut, the thing with 3d models, seams and things looking like they were drawn seperately....yeah your drawing has them (well not seams).  i am assuming you are using gimp or paintshop if you are losing layers due to not wanting to mess it up. Photoshop has alot of alt-ctr-z memory and lets you undo ALOT of things. you should try it. (before anyone screams at me i am not claiming he alternatives dont have it, i never used them (i have PS cs4)).


ehh, sorry that looks like a wall of text >_>. to lazy to change so here...

Yeah but I try to learn to do shading without dodge/burn so every piece of armor has ~1000 clicks with different colored brushes. So if I want to fix something specific I'd have to undo the helload of work without it being on separate layers.
