It's actually a really common bug. You go up to a mayor for a quest, he goes, "Dude, go kill this demon. Yeah, he's right in the village." He forgets to mention that this demon is their civ leader and they will all try to kill you the moment you attack him.

The medium is digital - Photoshop and a Wacom.

The texture was part painting, part textures, part filters and part layer composition. >.>  I locked transparency and used a smooth brush to put in the first layers of shading, then a rough brush in several different shades to add interest. Then I made a layer with a rock texture on top of that, then I turned the top layer to Linear Burn, then I messed with filters on the base layer, then I squished them, then I attacked it with the brush, smudge, dodge and burn tools. And then I think I duplicated the layer and set the new one to overlay, and lowered its opacity.

...I think. There were probably more steps than that in there, when it's something new I tend to just push it until it feels... well, not right, but not so wrong >.>. I actually have a version without all the gloom around the feet, but it wouldn't blend into the background properly that way, and I figured if it was in a cavern it wouldn't be seen very brightly anyway.

I drew an Ironblood pic today in school. He was holding a severed lions head and it was titled as so:

Ironblood didn't use an axe because he had to.
    He used an axe to be kind.

This perplexed my friend, who was then told a short version of Ironbloods nude battle vs the hydra, and then the massacre of the baron. He quickly asserted that if Ironblood had thrown him through six feet of stone instead of using the wall to deconstruct the baron, that would have been much more awsome.

I pointed out that Ironblood didn't give a flying f***, and we laughed all the way to my bike.

And thats my story. I wish my scanner wasn't broken, it was a good pic.

On IRC we were discussing about constructing your own wagons in fort mode. I managed to quickly make the idea degrade into forts on wheels, fueled by magma and moved by windmills in the roof and running over kobolds and elves with its wheels. Someoene draw this, now.  :P

While that is quite a war wagon, I pictured something like the whole fort on wheels. Something really irrational like a large chunk of rock hollowed out with halls and such on giant wheels (or even walker legs) terrorising the country...  :P
