Its actually hardcoded and not in the raws (or rather they are hardcoded raws, I think) and there are already zebra demons and maybe horse demons. Plus if you look at the string dump on the wiki, the demon types include plenty of animals already in DF. So it would just be a wording change.

I said "I've seen it" . It's not my style and honestly beyond my common abilities. I have to try hard to produce something like that, and while I can, I don't think I would spend so much time on a monster of hugs .
My main issue would be textures.

I started a new fortress in a new world and this was the first forgotten beast I came across.  He swam around a lot in the lower cave and didn't really seem too interested in finding his way inside my fort.  I decided it was better to send my swordsdwarves out to turn him into a pin cushion before he finally stopped procrastinating and caught me with my pants down.  He really didn't put up much of a fight, though.

I have a general request that I'd like to get several artistic impressions of.

I'm working on migrating my mod over to the new version, and I'm trying to decide exactly what the Sand Raiders are going to look like. Before I just sort of invisioned them always wrapped up in robes and head scarfs and whatnot, so I didn't have a clear idea of what they looked like underneath all that. So far I've decided that they have black to greyish skin and black or dark blue hair. But I need to differentiate them from humans a bit more.

So, please draw me your interpretation of Sand Raiders! They're mostly human sized, males are stronger than females but not as agile. They wear robes and other desert appropriate apparel and tend to use spears, scimitars, and bows and wear iron chain armor.

Reposting this request to see if anyone is interested in drawing them.
