Imagine stock Fantasy world, sans the elves and dwarves. 8-foot tall gorrila men make the orcs. World wide war, general bloodshed, and then ambitious miners pierce HFS. !!FUN!! ensues.

also, here's another demon. A religous leader, this time (one that convinced a civ he was an incarnation of their god, perhaps)

I was considering the elves to be like the Forest Guardians found in Grand Adventure, but with smaller horns. It's still in writing/conception, though.

In a triumphant return to form, I've moved away from sketches and paintings of quasi-dwarf fortress fantasy and gone back to the old classic of MS paint drawings of random DF monsters.



This here is a MOUNTAIN GNOME. with the new version having creature descriptions and all, I can finally get a good picture of what they're actually supposed to look like. The purple eyes are a nice touch (it's their only eye colour option)

Like I said in the engravers guild thread- the gnome reminds me of those looney toons/chuck jones shots where they'll have a (horrifyingly) detailed portrait of a character. Ideally with stock screaming.

That is probably the first Satyr opic I have ever seen in DF, alas Satyrs are so under represented, you would think a race of Womanizing, Partying, Beer Drinking fun guys would be more celebrated!

Satyrs are so under represented

I tend to draw creatures after I encounter them and they make an impression on me. Notice how the majority of my pics are mountain or cave creatures?
this is because I usually build my forts in mountain ranges, not in enchanted forests... I rarely encounter creatures from those biomes.

I guess I could take a request, if there's a particular creature you'd like to see drawn.
