I'm sorry to say it, but a large proportion of the art here (with the exception of a few awesome ones) looks rather depressing to me. By this I mean the overly simplified drawings, where hardly any effort has been put in to.

Most of it *was* created specifically for DF though. xD

Besides, Not everyone can draw, and I think it's more about the idea.
Sometimes I'm positively amazed when I see someone that has drawn a simple doodle that is very funny or clever.

I think I like that more than a 'I-can-draw-better-than-you' show-off.
Besides, it's the DF relevance that makes it nice either way. ^^

Try to get a notebook, man. Or at least paper without lines - if you plan on putting any effort into a drawing, you shouldn't waste it on poor material.

Hey, I didn't mean it that negatively. As a matter of fact, I really like a lot of the drawings here. It's just that (and that may be just me) badly drawn drawing kind-of depress me (especially since it's a competition).
