This Is DF!

I mean, really. This is the most DF-like kobold I've ever seen. Just like those buggers in Kobold Quest, but with a realistic level of details.

I love you for that kobold picture ^_^.

The goblin is great too. This "What is it?" look is real :).

I like how the goblin seems to be happy that a massive corkscrew is about to take out his eye.

I think it's called a corkscrew in the game... you can't open a bottle of wine with that. Though, Archimedes's screws make more sense for water pumps.

It is indeed called a corkscrew, but the fact that you can pump water with them shows they have to be some kind of archimedes screw. So they're just misnamed.

to handwave that i imagine the pumps like this
you have a standard corckscrew like the one with the soon to be dead goblin. then to make a pump the strap piping to it (the pipe section) along it's length (along the metal)this is more or less what i thought an achemedes screw was anyway.

edit upon closer inspection both versions would function the same way just my version doesn't requre quantum corkscrews that change depending on their use.

to me its more of a resigned "well i had that coming" look. like he just realised that of course there will be traps and it's hit own stupid fault he's gonna die in one

again an edit: hehe DennyTom that is more or less what i meant. |

Neruz - then the "corkscrew" trap would have been meet grinder. And the real corksrew can be modified in Archimedess screw with some wood or metal (not really good one, but it can be done).

Not only are these paintings just about my favorites on this thread, Spreggo, you're also pumping them out.

Such quality, such speed. I don't know how you do it! You fill my daily awesome quota by noon.

Anyway, I love that kobold so much that I'm going to actively attempt to change my mental image of them to that.
He is beautiful, in a remarkably unpleasant and disgusting sort of way.

I just want to hug the kobold, actually. Except if I tried he would probably shank me.

Also, saw this thread and drew this.

EDIT: Also, this.

That one's very incomplete, dunno if I'm gonna finish it though.

You should try and finish the last picture ;)

Vester, that's definitely one of my favorite comics so far  ;D

Second one is intense. The angling of the posture is spot on for that. Definitely finish it as much as possible though, I think you could get a lot out of it.

Dr. Johbson, I think we need more images of dwarves at work. Maybe in a, "Contribute to the War Effort! Protect the Mountainhome!" propagandistic sort of way.

see how DF has influenced us. Just like legendary engravers, people start churning out masterworks like from a machinegun

Except, you need a $300+ computer to do it. Dwarves can do it with just their beards.
