Actually, Fault, I like the lack of pupils in your art. It gives the art a fairly unique quality that, quite frankly, cracks me up.

I don't usually add pupils to supernatural creatures, like elves and goblins. It sets them apart from [MUNDANE] creatures. But I did make a mistake on the elf pic. On all my other ones, the sclera is coloured in, or shaded, not blank white.

I think the lack of pupils was inspired by Mike mignola's Hellboy, in which humans are usually the only characters with pupils, or from Egoraptor's Awesome Series, wherein exaggerated character design is usually accompanied by manic-looking white eyes.

It's the 'I though I told you to clean up your room!' look.

And I can totally imagine them looking like that after you cut down a bunch of trees.

I always liked, was it RavingDork's Elves? The ones that are sort of long and lanky, with big droopy noses and scraggly hair, they're sort of like monkeys.

That seems to match the DF Elves better (in my mind) than the usual Tolkien depiction, since the DF Elves are really entirely not even remotely like the standard cookie-cutter Elf (cannibalistic, enjoy trapping and slaughtering innocent animals, madly in love with trees to the point where they don't even build structures, really fast and surprisingly savage.) DF's Elves always came across as a sort of primitive raving tribal culture with a hard on for trees, as opposed to the usual 'old, wise, more awesomer than you' Tolkien Elves.

Hey everyone. While we're on the topic of visualizing DF races, I thought I'd post this.

It's an average looking Elf character, as opposed to Cacame the dwarfy elf or the insane Elf herbalist, which I don't really think are prime examples of what DF elves are supposed to be. This is one of them. He's looking down on you.

Is that elf... wearing leather?
