((A fine way to start the first battle of a campaign, methinks.

Even better, G1 and G3 will either have to move through difficult terrain or eat an AoO to get close now.))

Kal is surprised when he sees the goblins attack, but then shakes off the complacency brought about by the kindness of the Locksmith. As he is about to act, however, a moving mass of armour and machinery roars past him, falling onto a nearby goblin with bone-shattering strength. Shaking his head in disbelief, Kal moves up so he has unobstructed sight, then fires Acid Splash at G1, using his flask of acid as a focus.

Kal steps forward and uses his flask of acid as a focus to strengthen his acid splash. The goblin ducks as the glob of acid flies at it, and the acid hisses as it etches the stones of the square behind the goblin.

just shot him with a balistic arrow, i think he will get stuned from that >.>

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

Steven calmly brings his pistol up and almost without looking pulls the trigger, the whirling ball of lead striking the goblin between the eyes and evacuating whatever its skull was containing all over the street behind it. The body staggers forward another step or two on muscle reflex before falling over.

Steven barely notices as he reloads his pistol, for all the world as if it were another day at the practice range.


Zeratuu

With two of the goblins down in the first moments of combat, the little kobold casts her cloak aside and snarls, revealing rows of gleaming fangs. She darts past Master Etoile and leaps at the closest goblin that still threatens him, growling with feral intensity as she bites for its throat, fire gushing into her mouth as she does so.

Move to G1 and Bite with Dragonmaw

((*roll*: 1d20 + 5 vs Flat Footed AC : 23 Hit!
*roll* Damage + Sneak Attack + Dragonmaw 1d4-1 + 1d6 + 1d6 : 14))

The surprised goblin shrieks as its foe, even smaller then it, clamps onto its throat. Teeth gnashing and tearing she twists and jerks her head, breathing fire down its trachea as Zeratuu comes away with a bloody mouthful that she spits out in disgust.

For the goblin, it can't even wheeze as its lungs are charred by the flames of her bite, and it slides down against the wagon, eyes staring longingly at Steven's gun as it dies.

Etoile's enthusiastic charge stops the goblin in its tracks, but he enjoys less success then his companions, his morning star deflected by its shield.

Goblin #3

The goblin shrieks in terror and swings at the longshanks attacking it, waving its weapon frantically.

((*roll*: 1d20 + ? vs AC 18 : 16 Miss))

Its weapon clangs awkwardly off Etoile's own shield, leaving only a scuff mark.

((One thing that showed up in this map: It won't be possible to avoid flanking by hugging the edge of the map unless you're hugging an actual wall. In this case, the map just expands to fit.))

Plod to the tile just south of Etoile and smash the gobbo.

((Lucerne Hammer, dude. 1d12 plus reach, brace, and sunder makes it a nice choice if you want to go two-handed.
Also got a scythe for up-close fighting. Can't wait to deal my first quad damage crit with it  :D ))

((Heh. I can, given sufficient customization points, enlarge myself while wielding a weapon designed for a size larger than that. Stack an extra enlargement on that and I'll almost be a mecha  :P ))

((I'm pretty sure the customization enlarge and enlarge person won't stack. They generally don't want you to be able to boost into huge size. :) ))
