Feel free to recommend more experiments. (even if you know the answer)

Laboring under the belief that if I close the pool it will be permanently blocked from my own editing.

It appears adding a deadline will force the poll to lock. Unconfirmed.
-Date cannot be changed.

No visible way to delete a poll and start "fresh". Perhaps moderators have power to do this and will do this on request? Unconfirmed. Once a topic has a pool it is always attached.
