(Repeats)
Talk to the mechanic next, and see what that club is about. Ask how dangerous the work is, and how well it fulfills service credits. Then ask if there are any other good ways to get credits without risking my life.
"...dangerous?" She looks at her arm, missing. "Oh. Don't mind this." she rests her head on her (metal) palm. "There was an accident a few years back with the Wind Department. It kind of destroyed the whole building."
Varying schematics and designs on parchment litter the desk. The woman snaps her fingers, which ring like cymbals, and the sheets organize themselves into a neat stack floating a couple of inches above the desk, angled for your viewing convenience.
"Our club activities include work on agricultural machinery, some powered carriage designs, and prosthetics like the one you see here. We recently got a grant to build a crane for the new Wind Department building, so that should be fun!"
Raioyris takes note of when the Arcanist and Questing clubs are meeting then wanders off to the library looking for books on elementary Life magic. Maybe I can find something to charm a crow with.
The Library of Clarity doesn't seem to have what you want. The pathway splits at the entrance, however, and to the west you have a three-story structure with a gothic colonnade and arched windows. The plaque merely reads:
Library of NatureThis library has a much more traditional layout, each story having every letter of the alphabet, with the stories divided among three Elemental schools: Life, Water, and Earth.
"What does the Arcanist's Club do, besides ugly golems?" Dan asks, waiting just long enough for answer before continuing to search something that lets him be officially sign into studenthood.
Christine pauses to read at the sign.
"Well, that's convenient."
Go to the Marble Gardens to look for the Quartermaster and the Dorms.
Two birds with one stone I guess.
Head on over to the Marble garden to try and find the dorms and/or quartermaster.
Keep mental note of Library's location, go to dormitories, still be on the lookout for professors so I can actually enrol in my classes.
Acquire uniform, ask statue what clubs are for.
The Lodge
Hidden behind a grove of overgrown columns and fearsome gazebos is a wide four-story building, the widest you've seen so far, made up entirely of logs and surrounded yet again by green pine trees, a rarity in this world. Most plants have cyan-colored leaves, and some are pure white or gray.
Its roof features corner spikes that arch upward, capped with bronze; bells and chimes line the edge of every shoulder and balcony, and the big plaque above the entryway reads the name of the building in fiery letters.
Inside the main lobby you find the lowest floor overtaken by sorting activities. Uniforms, made according to directions sent along with your applications, have all been finished and hung on rotating stands, and the Quartermaster plus student interns seem to be taking letters of recommendation and picking out your orders from the racks.
Some of you swore you saw the Quartermaster at the gate beforehand, wearing her characteristic black-and-white striped dress. How this old woman outpaced you is puzzling, to say the least.
Nevertheless, getting your uniforms is easy as pie. Delegating a roommate to share a dorm with, on the other hand, may require a little more thought.
