(Sometimes I don't have time to do a full writeup. In that case I'll usually run dialogue so it can be resolved faster.)
Update 9
Sit down in an unobtrusive manner, show that I'm receptive to the song. Continue listening, this is fascinating.
As you sit down, the song picks up the pace again:
(I am bad at lyrics)
As the hymn finishes, people start murmuring amongst themselves. A man and a woman, both near to where you sat down, walk up as others watch with a curious eye.
"What is your name, brother?" the man asks.
"Excuse me,"
"A fine day for our sad carnal drapery." Raioyris says in brisk to Christine.
Raioyris uses his Sha to absorb and imbue his staff with Vo.
Then he appears before a Fire instructor or a nearby crow. Which ever he happens to see first.
You vandalize the decorations with no mercy, sweeping your Sha across. The plants seem to be fire-resistant, though not fireproof by the looks of it. Their needles turn an ash grey, and you can see glowing embers on their tips although the plants themselves do not catch fire. Nonetheless, you have numerous Vo (
), attached to your wing like glass ornaments on a tree decorated for the Winter feast.
[-] You bump into a balding middle-aged man wearing a purple trenchcoat-inspired uniform, with a blue tunic with white squares underneath. With nothing more than a passing glance, he already deduces your name.
"Raioyris, correct?" You notice two large daggers at his waist, sheathed across his back. Both have ornamented handles, one patterned black steel with silver highlights, the other silver with hanging onyx gemstones.
He doesn't seem to be looking directly at the smouldering plants, and the breeze is blowing the smell away.
Well then, let's just not be inside, shall we. Exit posthaste. Presumably that means they will just happen to return.
You exit posthaste.
It doesn't seem like anyone was just about to return, though. The halls are empty, save for a dude that looks terribly inebriated stumbling around for his room.
Wait, just how... Shadow building, right. Someone decided to test out their cool new magic. It would be nice if I could alter my perception of light here, but I have no idea how I could do that.
"Wait, Sha Kahigan. Right"
Attempt to use the Sha Kahigan to use energy from my body and focus it onto the head of my staff to have it emit light.
Imagining an invisible arm from the area of your left shoulder, you guide it toward the staff, and...
[-] It lights up! The ivory head is now glowing. And not burning, by the looks of it.
You glance over at the commotion, but see a short, long-haired figure moving in from the direction of the checkout desks, toward the two bickering students. She then turns her head, and you see a glint in her eyes... before she reaches out and stuffs your flame away with a flick of the wrist.
It's still weakly burning, but it's no longer emitting the warmth it did when it lit up.
"Ooh, I see. Well, I hate to shy away from a challenge, but healing really does sound like an essential foundation. Maybe I'll ask this Doctor for extra credit if I find myself with an excess of time.
I suppose that means I should set up classes with you now?"
"Indeed! All you have to do is tell me in person, and I'll add you to my roll sheet. It's more of a formality, really, since I don't take roll. It's your loss if your wasting opportunities.
You'll find that with a lot of professors here, actually.
As for taking both classes at once, I'm not aware of any rules against doing so."
