Some ideas for flavour, family and non-military actions:

Family:

Sire More Children: The Virile and Prolific Lord Sows his seed. Children and Bastards spring up everywhere.

Adopt a Courtier or Bastard: The Lord adopts one of the Courtiers as a Legal Heir, allowing him to marry them off as part of his family.

Diplomacy:

Marry yourself/A Family Member off to another House: Arranged marriages between Player Houses to cement alliances

Send a Child to another Court as a Hostage: Another way to cement alliances or maintain control over Vassals is to raise their Children as hostages.

Create Treaties: Defensive Pacts, Non-Aggression Pacts, Vassalization, etc. Treaties can be presented by your Agent Ambassador, for flavour.

Create/Fabricate Cassus Belli: Prepare to declare war on another house, if such formalities suit you.

Use Agents:
 - For Military Intelligence
 - Support Prole Revolts, banditry, etc.
 - Subvert Nobles
 - Create Spy Network (from commoners)

Religious/Occult Actions: You can observe the following holy days:
- The High Feast of Pentecost (Easter, Spring Equinox)
- The Feast of Saint John (Summer Solstice)
- Thanksgiving Feast (Autumn Equinox)
- Christmas Feast (Winter Solstice)

The Christian form of these festivals are quite benign, and usually give benefits to the population with little harm.
If you dare, you can attempt the magic that is associated with these festivals. But this can lead to you being branded a *heretic*.

A "safer" and more reliable way of practicing Ritual magic is to create the Knight Lodges where noblemen are more thoroughly trained in the symbolism and method of ritual. It is also kept away from the superstitious masses and presented themselves in a palatable form to the Holy Church.

Quests:

- Seek a Cyclops rumoured to be able to make a magical weapon or armour.
- Seek a Centaur rumoured to be able to share his ancient wisdom.
- Perform the Quest of the Grail according to your own interpretation of the Legend. You need a Zodiac of 12 Knights and their Companions, who must also be Knights.

- Perform the Trials of Psyche (For Women Rulers)

- Perform the Quest of Saint George and the Dragon

By fast track, do you mean one turn equals one year?
Does recruiting a knight take up drill space?
Are mercenaries a thing?
Will freemen turned serfs in a town automatically move to a nearby village?

I'll give each player one year of income to start with.

Knights don't drill with the plebs. But you pay for their equipment. Make sure to have enough Armouries and Bowyers for the army. Knights are costly, and their default equipment is an entire year's labour for one armourer.

Mercenaries are not a thing. Neither are neutral states. (All NPC factions are hostile.) Though you can hire out your own troops to other players if you want.

Freemen turned serfs will take up oaths of servitude to you in a nearby village.

How long does it take to raise a pretrained levy?
For the end game scenario, what is your definition if kingdom?
I can't think of a third question right now?

Levies are all trained or raised in 1 turn

Existing levies that aren't raised will be raised automatically if their settlement is attacked. They can also be force-mobilized and marched around to defend the lands.

In the endgame, you're considered a Kingdom if the remaining players aren't actively trying to murder the crap out of each other. The details are up to the players, but they should be allied formally in some way.

This just looks too interesting to pass up. If you're already full up though I'll offer my services to help assist your GMing instead if you need it!

So, what can we do with heretical rituals?
What about non-heretical fertility rituals? They sound like things that should be done every turn.
Quote from: Nirur
Village and town ramping costs - Is that per keep, or per player?
And at start, will our next village cost 100 or 400 gold?
Can we pay freemen to move to a different town (or, better, to emigrate from rival towns)?
Do we pay gold to transport wood/stone/metal/bows to more distant colonies?

Could we get 50 training slots from a basic stone keep, please? It feels off to me that everyone should rush to get a 4-wall palisade and drill square so we're not completely defenseless.

How much gold do we have atm?

I think it's either 593.75 gold or 1093.75 gold, depending on whether or not the basic freeman productivity includes the starting marketplace.

I'll add the last couple of players, consider doing final balancing, then kick the game off by Sunday.

Max length per turn will be once per week. So I can deal with life as well.

Christian festivals give the benefits associated with those particular holidays. The heretical versions come in many *flavours*, you can describe what you want to do, or you can leave it to chance, which is a hit and miss kind of thing.

Logistics:

Materials have to be caravaned around, like from the villages to the towns and castles or to the front line. This has no additional cost, but adds transit time in turns and risk from attack by other players and bandits.
