[Powder Miner]

It's one of the monsters that strikes first, spinning slightly up into the air, and charging down at Mijimeki, enormous tongue swinging down to Bash at him through its sheer bulk. The tongue connects with the black-haired boy, but solid as the hit is Mijimeki is a tough boy, especially boosted as he is by his Persona, and he stands his ground! 19 damage.

Mijimeki then has a chance to pay what he has received unto the other creature, as he takes a few courageous, sure steps forward before raising his arm -- the grey man behind him mirrors his action, and then flings its arm forwards, a bolt of electricity arcing out to connect with the second floating monster. There's a loud POP as the electricity connects with it, and the thing lolls backwards, tongue hanging limply out. Weakness Hit! 41 damage, and Lying Hablerie 2 is knocked down!

Aoi may herself be frozen in fear, but the hooded avatar makes its move without hesitation, cloak billowing as it advances. Ice-blue energy gathers, for a moment, and is then discharged on the being that attacked Mijimeki, crystals falling from the attack. It doesn't have the effect of the electric attack, but it still deals damage. 27 damage.

Whatever attack the second tongue-monster may have planned was fouled up by the blast of thunder that courses through it, and it just rotates itself back upright. Lying Hablerie 2 gets up!

One night of poor sleep. Another interrupted. Add an ineffable tug upon her soul, and this absurd, ridiculous situation, and well, it's safe to say that Aoi isn't in the most stable-

Focus. Focus.

With a burst of speed or adrenaline, not that the two differed much at this point, Aoi lunges towards one of the creatures, flanked by Faust who discharges another icy attack over her shoulder towards it (Bufu on Lying Hablerie 1).
"Keep it down! I'll try and distract the other one!"

Mijimeki nods back, voice cold, despite the shakiness. "I'm on it."

He reaches out towards the creature once again - if it worked once, it will work again, right?

"Frankenstein's Monster!" he says, as he uses Zio on Lying Hablerie 2 once more.

[Powder Miner]

This time, Aoi's surge of adrenaline puts her at the forefront of the battle, and her attack lands first, another shattering of icy energy landing on the floating tongue-ball, and rocking it, if not obliterating it, with force. Another 27 damage is dealt!

The creature that Mijimeki was aiming to take down again moves faster than him, and rushes towards him immediately in order to get a little bit of revenge, swinging its large cumbersome with malicious intent! It slams into Mijimeki again, and though he is still quite tough, it doesn't go unfelt. 17 damage!

The other hovering monstrosity moves in sync with its partner, but the movement of its massive tongue is not aimed at Mijimeki... no, it is aimed at the somewhat more fragile Aoi. The tongue smacks against her cheek, briefly swaying her and being kind of revolting. 18 damage!

Then, finally, Mijimeki makes his move, and yet another bolt of electricity is hurled at the striped enemy. For a moment after the bolt connects, the reaction is the same as last time, the thing rolled backwards... but in the next instant, it disappears, exploding violently into a cloud of red and black shadow before fading away. 35 damage! Lying Hablerie 2 is destroyed!

Aoi's head sways to the side, and the rest of her body follows the motion, stepping away from the point of impact revealing another bolt of ice rushing forth from behind her (Bufu on Lying Hablerie 1).

It takes a second to register what happened. Then, the indignation kicks in.

"Get off of her." The words carry the authority of someone with a loaded gun.

Which happens to be exactly what Mijimeki is, right now.

Aoi's retaliatory blast of ice hits its mark first of all the final frenzy of the battle, and it thusly hits its mark last too, as when the blue energy hits the being, a crack spreads across its surface before it breaks apart and too explodes into cloud of red-glowing black shadows and disappears into nothing. 27 damage dealt, Lying Hablerie 1 is destroyed, and the battle concludes!

With the monsters gone, Aoi and Mijimeki are once again left alone in the desolate Ruins landscape, the parking garage that the grey shade escaped into with Kanade towering above the street in front of them.

[Empiricist]

A city in ruins.
A grey shade.
A kidnapping.
And a flash of blue.

"T-this, c-covers everything I dreamed... so I d-don't know what what lies ahead. You're, alright, _right?"

Calm down.
Douse the fire.
You've moved.
Now think. Think.

If Miji doesn't have other ideas in mind, Aoi shakily creeps around the the garage, surveying for possible escape routes the shade might take.

[Sl4cker]

Deep, steady breaths. "... Yeah. I'm fine. Let's keep going." A flash of something appears in his expression, but he quickly moves in front of Aoi, walking towards the garage hastily.

[Empiricist]

"S-should we make s-sure there aren't other exits? S-so that it can't escape?"

[Sl4cker]

"... Do we have enough time for that? It could be long gone by now."

[Empiricist]

"R-right. _{Sorry I just figured that we made sure there we exits, then it'd be trapped in there}."

[Sl4cker]

He hesitates for a moment, and motions for her to follow him into the garage.

[Empiricist]

"_Sorry."
She nods and follows.

[Powder Miner]

As the two walk into the garage, they note that things seem to be alright anyway despite Aoi not having a chance to go around-- there are only perhaps a couple of rusty cars parked and visibly unusable, what with the ravages of time taking their toll, and this leaves a clear enough space for the two of them to see that, as is not necessarily uncommon for parking garages, there aren't a whole lot of exits apart from the main entrance, though a set of stairs does lead upwards.

And then there's a twinge -- that insistent pull is back, and is tugging upstairs.
