"Huh.  That makes sense enough.  I know it added a day in the memory..."

Titus just shrugs, takes out a lighter and lights up his cigar. After a few puffs he speaks. "So who are you? Or should I say, who were you?"

Titus just shrugs, takes out a lighter and lights up his cigar. After a few puffs he speaks. "So who are you? Or should I say, who were you?"

"An old soldier," he says, lighting his cigar with a tiny exhalation of flame. He starts sucking on it like a mint. "Hmm. More truthfully, I always thought myself above soldiery, yet I have seen enough of war to find it wearisome to think about. I much prefer to think only of the present. But, I still have my pride. My name is Resalth, Knight-Errant to the Empress, order des Occultatum Ignes, First Class."

"Correct. Implies major mental interference in that event."

Inquiry at acquisition of gene sample of Subject Jaden Amundsen? Could prove fruitful to seed them on an uncolonized world and let them develop for a time.

Espada had not, but informs you that they know where the subject can likely be found, and that they are easily capable of acquiring a sample.

Titus' eyes widen and he accidentally inhales too hard  causing him to cough for a few moments. "You're a HVT?!" His hand quickly moves towards his sword but then stops just as fast. "Oh, right, I already tried killing you twice, I think." He relaxes after a few more puffs. "So, did you ever see or meet the Empress?"

No is simply watching, idly folding Aether for Essences for use later.

Resalth chews the cigar, seemingly oblivious to the threat. "Yes."

No is simply watching, idly folding Aether for Essences for use later.
The Aether here feels like milk and honey. Sweet, full of life, but perhaps not suited to many purposes. No utilizes the perturbations around the dragon's aura to supplement his supply with a few more general-purpose essences.

Might as well.
Espada notes that they will try, should the opportunity come up.

Having spiraled through the farm's core, the trio can tell that there isn't much else of note apparent, at least not sitting outdoors. Unless anyone had interest in the completely unattended fields of strawberries and blackberries.

"I've seen this myself. Done so, even. Sometimes people around here take a nap, or even a full cycle. It doesn't seem to correspond to time of day at all. Just... whenever people feel like it. Though in some farms they seem to pick around the same time, for some reason."

"You know what? Good idea. Aaaand the closest is..." The Traveler waves his finger dramatically before pointing to the village center. "That way."
He sets off in that direction.

"Have you ever attempted to scale a tree in the forest?"

"No. Sometimes there are farms with trees planted near the houses, and I've climbed those, but..." Espada realizes that, though they hadn't really thought about it before, somehow the thought of touching the trees in the forest seems unsettling.

"The Aether here is... odd. Not the sort I'd wish to use."

No stops making essences, then follows after the Traveller.

Clearly the Entity doesn't want us to then. Therefore. It is our job to do such.

"Oi. Titus. Avi. When you two are done with the dragon we're going climbing."

"Alright Koi, I'm on the way." Titus turns back to Resalth. "Well, I'm off." He opens a small cylinder and drops the rest of his cigar in and then points to Resalth's cigar and speaks in heavily accented draconian. "Enjoy it. It's a Terran classic." He clears his throat, massages it and then goes back to speaking normally. "Man, that's hard on the vocal chords. Sorry if I'm a bit rusty, It's been long time since I've spoken it." He then walks over to where Koi is. "What exactly are we climbing?"

"Trees."

"Espada notes that they put off an anomalous mental repulsion effect. Therefore the Entity doesn't want us touching em. Therefore, we're going to climb them. And in all honesty. We're probably going to topple a few while trying. Or we'll get reverted again depending on if they're Protected Objects like the Guitar. The majority of the group weighs a lot after all."
