Edward decides to let everyone else handle the scans. He begins tinkering with his harpoon gun, attempting to increase the reel rate.  He doesn't seem to pay any mind to the fact that increasing the reel rate might put his own integrity in danger.

retro recruit, since moonlit waited until exactly the worst moment to dip. We were literally just in spaceport, three hours before his post.

Doc's character seems to most closely replace moonlit, while Ensorc gives us a medic. I suggest Doc first, and if the others agree we can put Ensorc in as well. that'd be seven, and we cold start getting slightly more bold in our whale choices.

All right, I think I've got this worked out.

Back during their celebrations back at the station, the crew ended up hiring a new member. As is now apparently tradition, said member had to be properly inducted into the crew. Evidently, this means that in typical drunken fashion they left Telyor back at the station who knows where, and the crew have discovered their new member Maja Lukic is aboard. She's wearing Telyor's power suit. The confusion is easy to understand. In recollection, they check their wallets and find themselves short by 2000 credits.

(I upped hiring costs, figured 1000 really was too cheap with the amount of points given. The starting crew were free as part of the premise, but people on their level of skill shouldn't be cheap. I'll try keeping to 6 players for now, and see how well I adapt to 7 if/when shadow comes back.)

Edit: Just need Akuma, Crazyabe, and our new member to give an action. Will send a pm prod if someone's missing after too long.

As an aside, if Moonlit comes back a communication roll might allow Telyor to hitch a ride to you guys.

Maja picks through the ship's hold, looking for her medical equipment. Not finding it anywhere, she... improvises, taking an explosive harpoon and a tranquilizer harpoon. "Hello, everyone! This is your new ship's doctor. Please try not to get hurt. Really."

Andel decided he may as well perform the system-wide scan.

Andel finds that the other two Gas Giants have 9 and 5 moons respectively. The first three terrestrial planets seem to have good deposits of iron and the like.

Edward doesn't much headway. He does find a couple safety features he might be able to alter to increase the reel speed. He isn't quite sure how to go about that yet though. Frank is evidently pleased with the crew having more doctors.

As far as Techni can tell, there's no whale here. The moons aren't even particularly mineral rich.
