Dragon fortress

Thats right, I made dragons into a fortressing race! guess what?... THEY BREATHE FIRE AS WELL AS DO ALL THINGS A DWARF CAN DO!

Sounds pretty cool... I've never had a dragon attack my fortress yet :[ Is there some outdoor contiditon required, like "Terrifying"?

What civs appear under the 'civilizations' tab? Are there other dragon civs around? Do they trade with you?

yes, yes there are dragon civs, and they pop up as draconic.

Oh, it seems you just have to swap the values under dragon in under the entry for dwarf in raw\objects\creatures_standard.txt.

How can you do that? Besides, Toady should add these things to the normal game, if its possible to do it.

Of course, firebreathing dragons replacing dwarves isn't really THAT great an idea.  I've been tinkering with it, too, and the big problem comes when a dragon notices a raccoon has crept into the food storage area.  Because his reaction is to incinerate it.  And by "it", I mean "the food storage area".  

Of course, dragons reduced to hunting rats for food was pretty funny.

PNB, can you tell us, that how can we control dragons as a race? I just want to try it, I will surely prefer dwarves anyways.

They're the same kind of trees you have in Starcraft. The ones you can drop a tactical nuke on with no visible effect. :P

Also, my fortress is situated on the frozen sea. no trees at all, just a wide expanse of ice
