You order the garrison (of which the Dahnians now comprise a half or so) to rush out in glorious charge while all of the firestones shall be thrown beforehand upon the Damdamian's heads!

The salvos are out... and off. Many of the stones, mishandled by your engineers, explode too late or too early, the tongues of flame rolling on the grass or falling into the moat. Only a few of them strike the Damdamians, putting several of their ranks on fire and disorganizing a small part of the siegeing force, located to the west.
But there's no way back as your men open the gates and charge out into the fray, led by Dahnian horsemen, and by Ceodwell in mail and on a horse, as he got better and decided to help.

Alas, the charge goes bad as some of Damdamian light cavalry shows up at the least opportune time, and clash with the Dahnians. As the sky turns orange, the leftovers of your men are back at the palace, and Ceodwell is rushed to healer's ward as he had sustained further wounds.
And while your brother is being under care of the healers, your courtiers convene another council.
"Friends, we have four hundred soldiers left, the Damdamians continue to besiege us, and I don't think we have any more reinforcements coming up. It is obvious what we should ask our Princess." They all stand up and look at you.
"Princess Aife, you will begin negotiations with Damdamians at once." This time there's no one about the (thinned out) nobleman council that would even disagree with this. You, however, has to decide...
A) Adamantly refuse.
B) Ask them to wait a week.
C) Call up loyal soldiers to deal with this hive of plotting and disloyalty.
D) Send a messenger to the Damdamians.
