On the other hand, we have just made peace. We shouldn't need our army for a while. Better, I think, to save our money, whilst giving our forces the chance to learn firsthand how the elven threat fights.

A - thing is, our army eats up money anyway in its daily workings. If we go overboard on the payouts we'll have A) defeated the point of raising taxes and B) possibly screwed ourselves out of being able to pay our army.

You send a small part of the Army, mostly scouts and cavalry, to Kingdom of Dahnia to help repel any further elven incursions.

881 AD, Autumn

All is well in Kingdom of Luathbas, especially this autumn! The harvests were more bontiful than before and the peasants speak of a proper festival where part of the goods will be consumed and where the Pantheon deities related to agriculture shall be praised and donated to lavishly.

A) Naw, festivals cost money, and we ain't got money.
B) Party time for all!

And that we're also helping the Pantheon and the Gods for blessings too.
We can avoid spending on OTHER things. (It did note that part of the goods will be consumed, so it helps both Population and Happiness, and sounds more like a 'small' festival' usually just "1" value or something)
