My interpretation of it is "as much money as the volume of the palace", so going for copper and silver (lesser value than gold) is cheaper than an equal volume of gold. Our options are to literally give that much copper/silver, or an equal value of gold.

I do believe it will, in the least via trade (although our Gubta trades rely more on basic goods) or materials for craft and produce.

It said 3 days. Demon says 'one week'. We'll have enough time to REALLY consider what to do after that. Nowhere is it implied that A is on equal TIME value to B or C, which seem relatively equal in comparison and lasting longer than that. :I

Ahh, this is something to note--we should NOT assume
Haspen's world and lore building is usually always coming from historical events or inspired at a level akin to novel-quality building. Now I'm inferring that his demons are more akin to the daemon instead of EVIL demon, cross-compare like the malevolent kumiho to the otherwise benign kitsune; to most other people who aren't knowledgeable in Asian folklore, they'll look the same--I'm in the belief that this similarity of thought applies to things we usually see familiarity with in Haspen's world.

That, and our King is wise. If he saw EVIL DEMON A AAAAAAA, it'd be mentioned. Alongside that, if we do pick A, it makes more reason to boost B given that we'll be knowledgeable of our Palace's worth (which has been expanded twice using turn-of-the-year choices when we were economically booming, a rare time) in other materials other than...the exorbitant price of gold That and even if it may not give a dice-boost, it'll give us understanding to how grave (and unhelpful) making debts are.

Of course B would be best but I'm in the idea that A takes less time and ends up with more information.
