He could make some songs and spread them with bards across the realm denigrating the pantheonist high clergy as traitors and usurpers, and and ridiculing them as the tail that wags the dog. Let's make them look bad before the people before taking them down, that might save us a civil war.

I would have said he's never been of any use, but I do believe he found Houlandin III's first wife. Beyond that he hasn't really contributed anything as far as I can recall. At least not anything useful, I remember he didn't have any input on HIII's second wife when asked.

He helped in the effort to drive that one king mad.  Why did we decide to drive that one king to paranoia?

There we would keep scriptures of his heroic deed, a point of pilgrimage for both aspiring adventurers and more martial of the clergy. Alas, we come from a poor city, and therefore our superior couldn't afford to fund the shrine, but then one of my colleagues said, 'let us ask the generous King, the grandson of Houlandin II, and he will help us!', and therefore here I am, asking for a royal donation for our project!"
