Less than a week later, you get bad news - a new army is approaching from south-west! It seems that Queen Alexandra have sent forces to besiege House of Lech. Scouts report that it is mostly infantry; archers, spearmen and the likes, with lots of supply wagons and some cavalry as supporting force.

A) Ha! An easy target, that. Send our forces at once!
B) Let's wait at House of Lech and see how the situation develops.

After the last battle, we took heavy casualties, which I assume may have used up our reserve infantry. The Formorians are gone, our cavalry are mostly okay and our archers plus hurthlings are pretty much fine.

So, I'd be inclined to do A as (assuming equal numbers) we have better cavalry and archers and equal infantry.

I think they plan to encircle the castle then march their main troop towards our heartland.  We can take out a smaller force now with little reinforcements.

It is blatantly a siege force. You can't use horses against a castle, and the wagons no doubt carry supplies for the siege such as provisions and engines.

We should strike now, instead of letting them do what they are prepared for. I'm also confused about how this is supposed to be a trap. Do you think they've managed to hide thousands of men such that our scouts haven't noticed them?
