The lizard paces about its nest, stops to sniff in your direction from time to time. After a long while... it climbs the vertical cliff face without effort and gets away from you easy peasy.

A) Welp. Let's wait and see if it comes back.
B) Continue climbing to see if there are more lizards to hunt higher on the mountain.

You wait for hours.

Just as you were preparing to take a nap, you hear a rumble of loose stones rolling down, and there is the lizard! It just climbed down back to its nest.

It sniffed the air towards you, and then just stared.

A) Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrge!
B) Observe it more, maybe it will get curious and get closer?

If it comes closer nicely, we'll be able to both see if it's got this onyx fang we need, and be able to hit it with a sword without it expecting it. Charging around on top of a mountain is just asking to fall off.

At one moment, certainly curious why you're not moving, the lizard slowly paces toward you. Once he is in range - you attack!

Soon you're wrestling with a giant yellow-rainbowy lizard that tries to bite your face off. It gives you some nasty scratches and a bite on your hand. You manage to stab at it with your sword, and then, after two successful hits, it falls over and you finish it with a blow to its underside. It wriggles, hisses, and expires.

You then open its maw and check for the black tooth...

Sadly, all of its teeth are just like normal teeth. You climb down to clean your wounds, eat something and rest before tomorrow.

Next morning, you decide to...

A) Try again with the low-height shelves, there might be another lone lizard somewhere.
B) Climb into higher parts of the mountain to, hopefully, find more lizards.

You decide to climb higher up the mountain.

By the afternoon, you reach a level where shelves are interconnected with each other and there are also caves. You can hear hissing from the nearest one.

Suddenly, a lizard emerges from it! It's larger than the previous one, and has ridges on head, and its scales are a bit more dull. It must be an adult, or some kind of old lizard.

A) Attack! Attack!!
B) Retreat! Retreat!!

Well, we're here now. Might as well try and kill it. Trying to retreat down a mountain whilst being chased by a mountain lizard just sounds like a bad idea after all.
