The army does excellent job in all aspects. The offense catches the Parsians by surprise and before the Augasian governor can mount any effective resistance, your soldiers already occupy most of the strategically important areas and keeps.

The Augas province, the crossroads of trade routes of many kingdoms, is now yours!

806 AD, Autumn

Already the revenues from mercantile taxes in Augas are filling up Luathbas' coffers!

806 AD, Mid-Autumn

You can't help but notice that your wife, so fertile once, did not bear you any children in last two years, and of course you don't shrink from your marriage duties. The royal healers determine that your wife is, in fact, barren. They do not understand why she suddenly lost the ability to produce babies, but they promise to investigate and try to help her.

One of the factions in Parsian Civil War have begun a counter-offensive to regain Augas for themselves!

The fighting is intense and Luathbas army sees many casaulties, but you remain in control of the province!

A prominent general arrives at your court.

"Sire! We demand more men so that we can maintain security in our glorious country as well as to man the garrisons of Augas!"

A) Spend some of Treasury's wealth on procuring mercenaries and adventurers to boost Army's ranks.
B) Draft some Luathbas peasants into the Army.
C) Do nothing as you're certain that the ever-victorious Army can do well as it is right now!

The promise of easy money, not to mention being stationed to in such a rich province, attracts individuals, groups and entire cohorts of wanderers who join the Army.

The advisor brings his scrolls once again. Expenses were high but the Augas province, or rather its trade routes, managed to keep the economy good enough.

The 100th anniversary of the extremely important Battle of the Anslach Hills, which defined the borders and independence of Luathbas, is happening this spring. The populace, both noblemen and peasants alike, are expecting some big festival with knight's tournament on top.

Unfortunately, the advisor says that preparing such a giant venue is beyond the Treasury's capabilities. You could host either of the two, however.
