Also, 'Luath Bas' is Scottic Gaelic for 'quick death' :P

Makes it ironic that there was nothing quick about it's death :P

I guess it was kind of drawn out.
But on a grand scale, 90 odd years is not that long. We never even got to celebrate the centenary of Houlandine I taking the throne :/

I was actually considering something more arabic/sea-themed... ya know, in the themes of Sindbad maybe? :vc

Luathbas was pretty north/west-european and landlocked, so a change of locale should make the next SPAMKINGDOM as interesting as the first one.
Hmm, yes. I was sort of disappointed by our lack of sea access. Bit more of a naval focus would be nice.
Also, you say north-west european, but in terms of neighbours, it seems more like it was situated east of turkey? Big empire that gets overrun by nomads to the west (Byzantines and Turks), Dry, mercantile kingdom to the east (Persia), religious zealot empire to the south (Arabian empire)

My god why didn't I nipotice that. I'm Irish, and quite fluent, and I should know that...  :(

I might mention that it's actually written as "bás", and "luath" (pronounced looa) is the gaelic for "early".

Well yeah, but names and culture were more northwestern feudal European :P

Well I quite like the worldbuilding you did here. I do regret that we didn't get to do some more cultural interactions or mixing with the Parsians or the Gubta. Perhaps we will get to do some stuff with cool foreign cultures next time? Well unless we go a complete our own only route with that dynasty but we would need to be strong enough to make everyone mad at us and survive before we could do that.  :P

Hmmm, the kings had quick deaths, that still counts? 90 years and 9 people beneath the luathbas' crown, 7 kings and 2 queens.

All this talk about SPAMCOLONY makes me want to run SPAMFORTRESS. Is that fine by you, Haspen? (I'll name it something else, obviously.)

Stick with ancient history themes--there are many many space themed leanings nowadays and I really love still exploring the ancient past themes :3

Holy cheese this reminds me of my own worldbuilding--oceanic world where we're in the enlightened age and it's pretty much 'infrastructure at sea' with more focus towards a sea-based economy and scientific adaptation in handling both the ever-present erosion of the sea and sky (with religion to the philosophy of this constant waning no matter what people do). But it's in part 'also dredging up ancient relics' so yeah.

But yes. I fully support this notion as there were MANY MANY NICE references in the ancient past about naval supremacy :3
