But I'd just like to mention here, to anyone thinking of granting mercy to the survivors of this uprising: for the love of the pantheon, please, please do not grant these rebels mercy. Or even 'justice'. That's not what the people want, it's not even what they want, really. When given the option we should have them executed or publicly humiliated or something, anything to show the populace that we are not being soft on these divisive, violent heretics. Every time in the past we have been nice to them, it has only pissed off both the pantheon and our population, and it sure hasn't resulted in them backing down.
Unless, that is, you want to inspire a religious civil war. Which is an option if you want to convert to Singularism (I personally do not, but reforming the religion might be a way to both combat the influence of Damad and place the monarchy at the head of the church).

I had forgotten that the laws are somewhat...different in comparison to modern legal knowledge.
But also that there are much unmentioned--and considering several cases of which I forget links, A is the best option.

Alas, this had only a minor effect. Even amongst the fresh troops and the newly appointed officers there were closeted Singularists who joined the local cliques and began scheming alongside their fellow cultists till there was an eruption.

A temple of the Pantheon was set aflame by an angry crowd of the Singularists in the city of Galad An Cawainn. Soon, minor teples across smaller settlements were set ablaze also, various military officers, minor nobles and city governors and village elders proclaiming their faith openly, most of them Singularists.

This movement, 'Sons of the One', number about nine thousand from all social classes and with some military veterans and supplies  at hand. They proclaim they shall 'render the Pantheon obsolete' and install the One as the new and only chief god of Luathbas, and to do this they shall convince the Royal Family.

"Clearly we should think of the Kingdom, my Queen, and issue an edict of tolerance."

"No!" Booms the Marshal and props hands on his waist. "Let's send our Army to crush the rebel scum now that they openly dare question our way of life!" But despite all ideas and arguments, it's your decision that shall shape the future of Luathbas. And you decide to...

A) Issue an edict of tolerance in hopes of mending the relationship between Pantheonists and Singularists.
B) Send the Army to violently supress the religious uprising, cutting down all Singularists holding arms against you.
C) Convert to Singularism and revoke the rights and priviledges of the Pantheon to placate the armed horde.
D) Send envoy to the leaders of the Sons of the One and attempt to negotiate some sort of deal with them.

Like I said, mercy has only resulted in bad outcomes in the past. Now is the time for judgement.
