Okay, so, much as I would like to try the 'potentially dynasty ending decision', we just don't have the manpower at the moment. If we hadn't just come off of a campaign in the west, and our army was at full strength (like 7 or 8 as opposed to 5), maybe it might be fun to risk it- but as it stands, it just makes no sense.
So A is out. We could do B. But, what if the senate really did mean to screw us over? Dropping our guard might be a bad idea. And reinforcing the border does not preclude making peace. So, we should await a messenger from the senate confirming they intend to make peace, and in the mean time go with
