A cute intersex harem with everyone in love with the androgynous king and smart and useful enough into pushing the kingdom forward.

Not all elves :P

Also WOAH look at that border of our map. We're stretching ourselves wide. Hopefully we get a choice later on to help out our administration, military, or social structure (which includes the Priesthood).

You ask the Spymaster to send agents into Rama and Huljan to gather information about those elven advisors. Anything could be useful.

879 AD, End of the Year

The advisors brings the Scrolls of Kingdom Status to the council room after you finish debating with the palatial head of staff about refurbishing the guest chambers.

"I had bad news, sire. The Treasurer, after tallying the numbers from trade with Gubta, had come to conclusion that the special route that our merchants maintain on our behalf is making less and less money each year. This year the profits were negligible, so only the Augasian trade revenues and the goldmines are our main sources of income at the moment."

Happiness: 5
Population: 4
Economy: 4
Army: 5

The numbers are somewhat low, but they aren't terrible either.

880 AD, Spring

There are multiple reports coming from the south. Border outposts and more loyally-inclined travelers mention sighting various group of Damdamian soldier groups; mounted scouts, patrol groups, armed messengers and some of the Lametanian towns also seem to have more soldiers on the streets than usual. The Damdamian side of the border with Province of Lametania is abuzz with activity.

Based on these reports, you decide to...

A) Convene with the Marshal and other high-ranking officers and explain them what you know.
B) Maintain current level of alertness and troop disposition in the south.

A, we can deliver a telling blow onto the damdamian republic by pressing the advantage.

Yes, it is time to share the plan. No doubt the Marshal will scream that we should face the Damdamians in fair combat, that our glorious forces could beat a hundred times their number- but the Marshal is always thus. (Is that guy immortal, or is the position of marshal similarly hereditary?)
The plan, for anyone who has forgotten, is to let Wrex invade, let him overextend in a mad rush to conquer the capital, then ambush his forces, take him out, and secure peace with officers loyal to the senate.

They'll be able to help us analyse their actions and see if it fits with what the Senate described.

You call in the Marshal and other high-ranking officers for a council, and they come after few days.

---

"Absurd! So we're to wait and get our soldiers killed to fulfill a plan made by Damdamians?"

"The High Cavalry Commander is right. Let's pre-emptively strike them! We will invade Lametania, break through their defenses in a quick attack and THEN kill Wrexus Magnibus!"

"Strike them, with what? Tired peasants and half the numbers?" The commanders argue for a while before the Marshal turns to you.

"Our King shall decide."

A) Now that everyone is informed and prepared... let's wait.
B) Call up emergency mobilization and move the reserves southwards.
C) Call up emergency mobilization amidst pre-emptive first raids into Lametania!

The plan makes sense. To me, at least. It relies on our forces being at full strength whilst Wrex's forces are overstretched.
The fortifications in the south will either tie up part of his army in a siege, or if left unsieged, will be able to raid the Damdamian supply lines. That's what they're for.
Let him come, thinking we are unprepared.

You order all the high ranking officers to wait and prepare for the incoming invasion, so when it happens, Wrexus Magnibus gets wrexed.

You have a hearty laugh at your joke.

880, Summer

A man called Eisf wishes for an audience, the guards say.

"Never heard of such a man. Is he a nobleman? Scribe? Priest?" Asks the advisor, and the guard who brought the news rubs his nose.

"Nay, sire. he is a peasant." The advisor furrows his brows but of course it's up to you to decide if a lowly peasant is worthy of audience with King of Luathbas himself - after all, peasants take their matters to governors or village elders, who then take the matters to you... it almost never happens directly.

A) "This is interesting. Let him in! I wanna hear what he has to say."
B) "If I allow audiences to peasants, I will be swamped in audiences! Dismiss him."

A. If it turns out to be completely beneath us, then we can make a point of only bringing important things to our attention. If it actually turns out to be useful, then who knows what it might be.
