Unfortunate report came from the southern hill-placed city. The governor's men has managed to mine out little of ores last year as well. He writes that if this will continue for another year, he will be forced to close these unproductive mines.

821 AD, Mid-Spring

As your wife goes into labor, you and the advisor pace about in front of her bedroom, waiting with fear in your heart.

After a while, one of the maidens who accompanied the healers leaves the room with a sad face. "I'm so sorry, my liege..."

Next day, rightfully angry about this, you gather your courtiers. You announce that there will be taxation of the temples if they do not apologize for their botched ritual.

Then, you also decide to...

A) Send an envoy to the lands far in the west, in hopes of contacting the dwarves and to plead that they lift the curse.
B) Advertise across the Kingdom for services of a traveling wizard; they do show up from time to time, and are known to be able to deal with even most powerful of harmful magic.

Wasn't there a note about dwarves not liking others assuming things about them? Initially I found familiarity with the idea because the 'dwarf' in our area here was more a mythological figure representing things very different from other cultures.

A group of strange persons appears at your court. They wear frilly, colorful garments, and each wears a silver triangle, on a string, around their neck. They also have dark hair and rather olivey complexion.

"Greetings, noble sire. We come from far to the south. We are the Pilgrims of Damad, the God of Humans. Our cult wishes to introduce our beliefs to your noble, hardworking, humble peoples of the north. Therefore, we wish to ask you for a permission to do so."

A) Allow them to spread their religion in Luathbas; it was always a politheistic nation so extra deity in the pantheon won't make a difference.
B) Tell them to leave and spread their influence outside Luathbas.

A. If we stay friendly at first, even if they get fanatical and preachy, we'll have room to manoeuvre with them not being initially hostile.

I will be paranoid and say that while they come from the South, I'm wondering if this is connected to the Damdamian Republic @_@
