The Army marches toward Khosra to besiege it.

In less the five days, and with no more Parsians to battle you in the field (except few raiding parties that were easily repelled), the fortified city of Khosra is in front of your army. The banner of Parsia flutters high above its citadel. Scaffoldings in some parts, spotted by your scouts, indicate that the Parsians were already busy making some hasty repairs to it.

A) ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK! Time to retake the city!
B) Wrap the city perimeter in your soldiers and force the enemy into surrender.

B! We don't actually have any siege engines.

B. No point killing our men on the walls of our own city. Now we're here the civilians may even turn out the Parsian defenders.

You begin a lenghty siege.

867 AD, Summer

Two weeks later, the city remains strong, the Parsian populace surely helping their soldiers the best they can.

Worse, the scouts report that a large unit of Parsians is approaching from the northeast, and few claim to have seen the shine of Cataphract armor from afar! Your commanders convene with you on how to deal with this situation, and you decide to...

A) Further split your Army and send half of it to attack the advancing Parsians.
B) Leave only a tiny part of Army to besiege the city (hopefully enough to stop the garrison from securing the countryside) and meet the advancing enemies.
C) Lift the siege and retreat westwards and see what the Parsians will do.

Your ARmy therefore lifts the siege and retreats westwards.

The Parsian soldiers easily enter the city with wagons of supplies and fresh troops and a throng of missileers and archers.

Your commanders curse under their breath before a new council is convened.

A) Resume the siege and starve them out.
B) Leave some troops to siege the city and lead the rest eastwards toward the Parsian heartlands.
C) Give up and return to Augas to regroup and think about the future course of action.
